Task 3_

The idea of ignition within the context of built environments can be used in the comparison between built environments when they are in use and when they are not, or between projected built environments and actual ones in terms of the life and activity within these environments. Ignition here applies to the beginning of activity, when an empty space suddenly fills with users, whether they pause in the space to perform an action or are just using it as a transitional medium to arrive somewhere else, ignition refers to the change of speed and intensity within an environment, bringing life to the environment, whether it be sudden or gradual.

The ignition of activity in an environment changes its quality and atmosphere, the sounds and smells alter our perception of the said environment, creating in some ways, an entire new environment.
